Circumpolar Institute seeks to open doors

Page 1

Old St. Stephen's College is a quiet corner of campus ? although strictly speaking it's not actually a part of the University of Alberta ? but it houses one of the quietly significant and forward ?thinking organizations in the province. That's the Canadian Circumpolar Institute, the descendant of the better-known Boreal Institute of Northern Studies, which is dedicated to academic and applied research everywhere in the North.

Taking the challenge

Alberta youths aged 18 to 25 looking for adventure and who have an interest in global development are invited to apply and participate on Youth Challenge International projects in Costa Rica and Guyana. Youth Challenge fosters global and youth development by working with community projects, many of which involve Indigenous people in Central and South America.
