ESO gives food bank financial boost

January 7, 2016. The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra presented Edmonton’s Food Bank with $16,675. Every year during the holiday concert season a core group of musicians collects funds during intermission from generous ESO patrons in support of the food bank. Since 2009 more than $110,000 has been raised in this manner to support the work of Edmonton’s Food Bank. “We are moved by the commitment of these artists.  Quietly and gracefully they set an example for all; to remember those less fortunate among us,” said Marjorie Bencz, executive director of Edmonton’s Food Bank. This past December, the hamper program helped feed more than 19,000 people.
