People are invited to bring their drums, their songs, their voices, and their support on June 21 to a rally for all residential school survivors and their families. The rally will take place at the Alberta Legislature at 11 a.m. and will follow with a march through the downtown area to the Indian Affairs office at Canada Place.

Special guest speakers and residential school survivors and their families have been invited to attend. Thomas Piche in an organizer from the Cold Lake reserve in North Eastern Alberta. He said residential school survivors are frustrated with the Alberta government because of the delays in their efforts for compensation.

Piche claims that this rally is not a protest but that it is to create awareness and to bring attention to their situation.
