May 19, 2016. NorQuest College, in Edmonton, hosts its first Indigenous Achievement Ceremony on Thursday. NorQuest provides learners with a complete education that attempts to balance strong academic foundations with Indigenous culture. The inclusive approach supports the diversity of the learner population, preparing graduates for work in a wide range of environments, including Indigenous communities. Guest speaker is Lorna Bull, a past health care aide graduate and current upgrading student. The ceremony, which includes traditional performances and dinner, takes place at teh Amiskwaciy Academy, in Edmonton.
