DRIFTPILE - People of all ages will get a chance to show off their talents, as the Driftpile First Nation Community School hosts a talent show and competition on April 19 at the school, beginning at 7 p.m.
This is the second talent show they've organized this school year. According to event organizer Trina Collins, the school decided to hold a second talent show because of the success of the first event, held in November.
Collins said the purpose of the talent show is "to bring together the children, parents and people of the community in an event that is entertaining and can be enjoyed by the entire family."
There will be categories for children, teens and adults, and people with any type of talent-from singing to dancing to comedy acts-is invited to enter. There will even be a category for "unique" talents.
A number of local businesses have donated prizes.
Entry fees range from $5 to $10. Admission will be $1, except for students from the school and their parents, who will get in free.
For more information or to enter the talent show, call Trina Collins at (780) 355-3615 days or 355-2256 evenings.
