Country and western music fans were recently treated to a show from one of the finest performers in music at the biggest show of the year.

On Oct. 15, more than 14,000 fans converged on Edmonton's Sky Reach Centre to catch four class acts, including the dynamic and popular Terri Clark.

Clark, 1997's Canadian Country Music Association's female vocalist of the year, lit into some of her biggest hits and got the audience standing, clapping, and singing along. She even took a round out of the drums and received a standing ovation, but left without an encore as time was too tight with Reba McEntire waiting in the wings to perform.

A Metis gal from Medicine Hat, Clark informed the near sellout crowd that she was once a member of Reba's fan club.

"Little did I ever think I'd be here performing on the same show with her," she remarked. "What a hoot!"

Clark left Medicine Hat for Nashville about 10 years ago to seek her fortune and fame. It's been a lot of travel and hard work, but it's paid off big time as her album hit platinum on both the Canadian and American sides of the border.
