An Edmonton foster mother has been cleared of any wrong doing, following the death of a baby in her care in 2011.

Delonna Sullivan, a four month old girl, was found unresponsive in her basinet, six days after social workers put her in the foster home.

The results of an autopsy were inconclusive, and her death
has been listed as unexplained.

A provincial court judge says that the baby was sleeping in
a safe manner, and was being supervised.

Business leaders are still having trouble coping with the march towards a 15 dollar minimum wage. Chamber of commerce members stressed the point there’s more to a compensation package for employees than just a pay cheque.

Premier Rachel Notley’s government has already set a new
minimum wage at 11 dollar and 20 cents an hour for Oct. 1, a one dollar increase. The rate is to go up to 15 dollar an hour by 2018.

Yesterday Peace Regional RCMP Detachment
executed a search warrant on a residence in the Woodland Cree First Nation community of Cadotte Lake.
This was the third search warrant executed in the community in less than two months. This dwelling was under investigation for the illicit sale of alcohol.
As a result of this search warrant, liquor and cannabis-marijuana was seized.  One person was arrested and charges are pending.

Targeting the illicit sale of alcohol in Woodland Cree First
Nation has been a strategic priority for the Chief and Council as well as the Community Consultative Group.  The success of this investigation was the direct result of cooperation from
community members as well as local liquor stores who are committed to safe communities.
