The National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) will be holding a forum in Edmonton Oct. 15 to 17. The theme of the event will be Addressing Aboriginal Health Issues from an Indigenous Perspective.

The conference is targeted at health care providers working in Aboriginal communities.

Plenary sessions planned as part of the forum will examine the aspects of mind, body and spirit as they relate to Aboriginal health. A series of panel discussions are also planned, along with presentations on cultural camps, Indigenous games, and looking at an Elder's perspective on health, and a woman's perspective on children's health. NAHO's annual report will also be presented during the forum.

The three-day event will wrap up with storytelling and a banquet.

Registration for the conference is $50, or $40 to attend the banquet only.
