Are you looking for an alternative way to learn more about the world? Would you like to experience life in another part of your country as well as in another part of the world?

If so, then the Canada World Youth exchange program may be for you. Canada World Youth is a seven-month program in which the first half of the program is spent in Canada and the second half is spent in a country in Asia, Africa or Latin America. The program is open to youths between the ages of 17 and 20, and you don't have to be a student to apply.

The Canada World Youth program gives you a unique opportunity to peer into your own culture and the culture of another country. During the program, you live with members of a local community. Your days are spent working in the community, and building relationship with your billeting family, your exchange country counterpart and the rest of the members of your group. In the time that you spend in the community, you will find yourself and your group becoming a vital part of the community. You will offer your resources to people and in return they will give you an insight into their lives.

All living expenses are covered by Canada World Youth. And you even get some pocket money! More importantly, however, you receive new insight into the world today.

Canada World Youth is presently recruiting for its Year 16 programs. Deadline for application is January 16 and March 6, 1987. If you are interested, please contact our office to receive an application form and further information.
