The April issue of Sage brought you a story about a youth cultural camp for young offenders, hosted by Nekaneet First Nation, as well as an article about the Onion Lake Youth Anti-Smoking Initiative 2001, and that community's continued work to get kids to quit smoking.

We also brought you hockey coverage in April. Sage was there in North Battleford as the Onion Lake Border Chiefs took the championship at the Battlefords Friendship Centre 37th Annual All Native Hockey Tournament, as well as for the first Lawrence Weenie Cup Memorial Legends Hockey Tournament. That event, also held in North Battleford, was organized to honor Lawrence Weenie, a long-time supporter of the annual Battleford Friendship Centre hockey tournament.
