If you know of someone who is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan who is deserving of recognition for their contributions to the Aboriginal community, the U of S alumni association would like to hear from you.

The association is accepting nominations for this year's alumni awards, which will be handed out in Saskatoon on Oct. 12. Awards will be handed out in seven categories, including one recognizing alumni excellence in Aboriginal initiatives.

A service award, humanitarian award, honour award, mentorship award and outstanding young alumni award will also be given out, as will the Alumni Award of Achievement, the most prestigious award bestowed by the alumni association, given in recognition of outstanding contribution to profession, community and the university.

For a nomination to be considered for any and all of the alumni awards, both the nominee and the nominator must be members of the alumni association. The deadline for submitting a nomination is April 15.

Detailed nomination criteria and an online nomination form can be found on the U of S Web site at www.usask.ca/alumni.
