Governor General stops in Saskatchewan

Wanuskewin Heritage Park was among Governor General David Johnston’s official stops in Saskatchewan. “I’m struck by your guiding principles, which I believe can serve us well in our effort to build a smart and caring nation,” Johnston said in an article in the StarPhoenix. “You are committed to honouring the Elders; to authenticity; to innovation and creativity; to bridging cultural understanding; the highest ethical standards; to mutual respect and trust; to diversity; to spirituality; to exceptional services, and to partnerships. This community and this country are better places thanks to this historic place and your vision for it.”
