The Aboriginal Committee of the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour is hosting a conference to examine the problems and opportunities involved in increasing the number of Aboriginal people employed in Saskatchewan.

The Building a Representative Workforce Conference will take place May 30 to June 1 at the Echo Valley Conference Centre near Fort Qu'Appelle.

Aboriginal people and representatives from the business and labour sectors are encouraged to attend the conference, which will examine why Saskatchewan needs a representative workforce -one where Aboriginal people are employed at all occupational levels, from entry level to senior management, in proportion to their representation in the population -and what can be done to reach that goal.
