The National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) is putting together an active living calendar for 2004, and wants to hear from Aboriginal communities across the country that are planning health-related events for the new year.
The goal of the calendar is to promote the importance of an active lifestyle to Aboriginal people, provide them with health information, and let them know about upcoming events tied to active living and living healthy lives.
The calendar will also feature photographs of Aboriginal people participating in healthy activities, along with messages to inspire people to make healthier choices in their lives.
Communities that want their health related events included in the calendar can e-mail the name and date of the event, along with contact information, to sfraser@naho.ca, or fax the information to (613) 233-1853. For more information about NAHO, visit their Web site at www.naho.ca.
