PITCH-IN CANADA is inviting schools, youth and community groups and local governments to lend a hand to clean our land during the 2001 PITCH-IN CANADA week taking place May 7 to 13.

Groups that register projects will receive free litter collection/recycling bags and other free materials.

Information kits and project registration forms for PITCH-IN CANADA week have been sent out, but if an organization is in need of a kit, contact PITCH-IN CANADA's national office at Box 45011, Ocean Park, PO, White rock, B.C. V41 9L1 or go online at www.pitch-in.ca.

Six volunteers, who started cleaning up beaches in Victoria in 1967, established PITCH-IN, a non-profit, charitable organization. The annual campaign involves hundreds of thousands of volunteers in more than 700 communities across Canada.
