The results are in from the 2006 North American Indigenous Games held in Denver, Colorado in July, and they put Team Ontario in second place overall.
The young athletes representing Ontario at the games earned 96 medals-30 gold, 38 silver and 28 bronze.
More than 7,000 athletes representing 33 delegations from across Canada and the United States took part in the sporting event, which ran from July 2 to 8.
Team Saskatchewan claimed top spot with 209 medals-the fifth time in the history of the games they have done so. The team from New Mexico placed third with 89 medals. Fourth place went to Team British Columbia with 69, while Team Alberta rounded out the top five, earning 62 medals.
Next time NAIG is held it will take place on this side of the border. Cowichan, B.C. has been pegged to host the games in 2008.
