The Ontario provincial government is increasing the support it provides to Aboriginal students in order to help more of them achieve success in their post-secondary studies.

More than $1 million has been committed to help colleges and universities across the province deliver innovative pilot projects aimed at reaching out to Aboriginal students, helping them make the transition to post-secondary learning and encouraging them to complete their studies.

The government has also earmarked $1.8 million under its Aboriginal Education and Training Strategy to support the delivery of post-secondary programming by Aboriginal institutions, in partnership with colleges and universities.
