Neechie Gear founder recognized with award

Kendall Netmaker was presented with the National Youth Aboriginal Entrepreneur award in Toronto by Erin Meehan, president of ESS North America and board member and co-chair of Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. The award recognizes an up-and-coming Aboriginal entrepreneur under the age of 35. Netmaker, from Sweetgrass First Nation, is founder and owner of Neechie Gear Inc., a lifestyle apparel brand built to empower youth through sports. The company donates a portion of its profits to help fund underprivileged youth, allowing them the opportunity to take part in extracurricular sports.
